feeling behind...

Have you ever had one of those days when you wake up and realize the month is a lot farther gone than you thought? Well, that was me today. LOL! I realized that I didn't have much longer (like until tomorrow...) to enter the Stamp of the Month challenge over at Great Impressions. So guess what I have been doing today... hahaha
Paper: white card
Ink: Distress Ink, Archival Ink, VersaMark, Mark-it pen
Stamps: Great Impressions (SOM)"Snow Friends", "Dotted Snowflake Border"
CI paint: Winter Frost, Tutu Pink
Other: embossing powder, rhinestone, ribbon, feather, flocking, Glossy Accents, Distress Crackle paint "Rock Candy" *love that stuff!*

The background is an embossed resist using Ranger's "Frosted Glass" embossing powder and Distress ink with the Dotted Snowflake Border... I like the frosted glass for this because it isn't smooth... it kinda has the texture of a real snowflake.

Of course the snowmen had to be all sparkly, after all, it's SNOW! LOL! I did my coloring with Distress Ink, then washed over all the snow parts with Winter Frost (the cheeks are Tutu Pink).
To add a little extra texture, I added flocking to the hats to make them fuzzy. =)

Rock Candy Distress Crackle Paint is a clear one-step crackle paint. It has such a fun effect for wintery cards. I love it!

It is really hard to see in the photo, but the very end of the feather also has Winter Frost CI paint on it for a little extra shine. You can't cover the whole feather, or it will look like a drowned duck was flopping around.... Just a little at the end where the feather is less "down", and more "what ever the outside feathers are called"

Oh, and while I'm talking Great Impressions Stamps, I made this candle the same way I did these candles, using the Dotted Snowflake Border and Denium CI paint. I then added some little rhinestones to the centers of the snowflakes.
Well, have a fabulous day!
