textured painting...

Well, because it's Saturday again, I get to teach another technique for using Creative Inspirations Paint over at the CI blog.... I thought I would share my project with you guys too. =)

Paper: white cardstock
CI paint: Evergreen
Ink: Mark-it, Powder Puff
Cricut: Gypsy Wanderings
Other: Doodlebug glitter, Diamond Dust, yarn

The basics for this technique is you cover an acrylic block with CI paint, then stamp it onto your paper.... This is what my block looked like covered in paint...

This is what it looked like stamped..... I thought it looked perfect for snow covered trees...
So, I let the paint dry completely, then I ran it through my Cricut....

A little glitter in random places (especially over the white areas) and some Diamond Dust (my newest addiction) on the ground, and it's a beautiful snowy scene.

*for those who don't have a clue what Diamond Dust is, it is a glass glitter... meaning it is made out of tiny thin chips of clear glass. It is so much fun to work with, and it has a very different feel from traditional glitters. I found mine in the Christmas section of Michaels*
Have a fabulous weekend!
