a simple rose...

 Hello my fabulous friends!

I'm back with a new Spellbinders die from the September release...   This gorgeous 3D flower is called Hybrid Tea Rose and Tea Pot. The teapot in this set is HUGE. It fills up a typical A2 (4.25" x5.5") all by it's self! However, if you make larger cards, scrapbooks, or art journals, this could be really fun! Also... It could make a BEAUTIFUL wall hanging... a nice big teapot filled with 3D flowers.... If I only had a place in my kitchen...

Let's take a closer look!

Please note, while Spellbinders did send me product and ask me to create with it, my opinions remain my own.

This rose is nice and simple to make, and can easily be modified to make it as full as you want. I love that there are single petals you can add to really fill in the rose if you want!

As before, you can find a how-to video on the product page.

I wanted to give this a vintage vibe, so I used a dusty yellow paper with a subtle pattern... I thought about using old book paper since that's how I used to make paper roses... maybe for a future project....

Anyway...

The yellow ended up looking too drab when put on the white background, so I pulled in some blue paper to give it contrast.

I finished it off with a simple foiled sentiment.

The rose is such a bold statement, the rest of the card can be super simple and still be amazing!

Be sure to check out all the other beautiful flowers available on the Spellbinders website... There's lots of flowers and containers to mix and match!

Have fun creating your own flower gardens inside!

See you soon!
