Share the Love Anita Jeram style

Hello my fabulous friends,

 Guess what is in stock???

Note: Products were provided by the company, however my opinions remain my own. Affiliate links have been used. This doesn't affect the price you pay, but it does a lot to help me continue bringing you new content. Thank you so much for your support!

For all those who did not preorder the Colorado Craft Share the Love release a few weeks back, now is your chance to get these cuties!

To celebrate, we have another blog hop full of inspirations some prizes!

Today I've got the Anita Jeram part of the release to share lots of photos along with some watercolor tips, so grab a drink and/or snack, get comfy, and let's dive in!

First up are these sweet bunnies from Bunny Love. I love that this set gives you the two bunnies, AND the two bunnies in a scene (grasses), so you can use them either way, or use the coordinating dies to layer them!

TIP: to create the sky, it is a simple matter of working in layers moving from light (lots of water with a little paint) to dark (lots of paint and a little water).  I make a really watery mix of color and paint in my first (and biggest) layer. Let that dry completely, then paint another layer (slightly smaller, and slightly more paint in the mix). Keep slowly adding darker layers to build your sky. This is actually a really good exercise to practice value and and water control while making a fun background to use in your card making!

Sunset Rabbits are up next... These big bunnies fill up the card nicely! The set also includes 2 different size circles  so you can add in a sun (or a moon) for a super quick scene. Where I live, we generally just have clouds this time of year, so I went with a cloudy sky for mine.
You can also get the coordinating die set for these cuties.

TIP: Did you know you can stencil with watercolors? One of the ways to do that is with a toothbrush! I use a toothbrush in the same way you would use a blending brush for ink... I dip the toothbrush in a puddle of paint and gently blend away. This does take a little practice. You don't want too much water on your brush or it will just bleed under the stencil.

Here's to hoping I find baby rabbits in my yard again this year (it's always such a treat to find a bunny nest in the garden! I'll add photo of a previous year's nest at the bottom of this post))

This cute couple is from Newlywed Mice... perfect for weddings, anniversaries, and Valentine's day! I was actually painting this on my parent's wedding anniversary!
There is also a coordinating die set available.

TIP: There are three main types of masking you can make use of with watercolors. The first is a dry mask like tape or vinyl, the second is masking fluid, and the third is resist. For this card I started by stamping my mice, I then cut a heart out of the middle of a piece of stencil vinyl (it is low tack) and stuck it on my card to mask out everything but the heart. I then used masking fluid to mask off  the parts of the mice that are in the heart. From there I could easily paint in my heart without having to worry about getting paint where it wasn't wanted. After my heart was dry, I removed the making fluid, then the vinyl and added some color to my mice.

There is something endearing about a panda bear, and this sweet guy from Bear Hugs is no exception! He is so adorable, and perfect for so many occasions! He can stand his own in a super CAS card like mine, or you can create a scene for any occasion... wouldn't he look adorable in surrounded by gifts for a birthday card?
And of course, there's a  coordinating die set so cutting him out won't cause you any trouble!

TIP: When coloring a panda (or other animal with a dark face), it can be easy to lose his eyes in the black patches... adding a dot of white to each eye with a gel pen or acrylic paint can make the eyes pop again!

Getting ready for some St. Patrick's day fun? Or maybe you just want to wish someone a little luck... this Mouse Shamrocks set is just the one!
Coordinating die set is also available.

TIP: Green from the clovers covers a large portion of this card, to keep things visually interesting, try painting some leaves darker and some lighter... for even more visual interest, try using more than one green.. Here I used a warm green (yellow green) and a cool green (blue green)

Share the Love is such a versatile set! your have multiple options of bunnies (including some babies) facing different directions... Use one alone, create a couple, or make the whole family!
The coordinating dies makes creating lots of rabbits even easier!

TIP: Did you know you can color ribbon with watercolor? I love doing this because I can custom match my ribbon to my card using the same paints I used in the card!

Venture out into the forest and you might run into these beauties..  Forever Foxes is the sweetest little scene! For some reason, I have really been enjoying painting foxes lately, so this set was extra fun!
Coordinating dies are available for this set as well.

TIP: Sometimes less is more. For this stamp, the image is nicely framed by the trees, so instead of extending the blue of the sky across the majority of the card, I kept the blue between the trees, with the darkest color near the ground. This helps keep the focus on the foxes instead of overwhelming them with a huge sky.

I don't usually do fancy envelopes for birthday cards, but, I couldn't help it with this one... My niece recently sent me a handmade card filled with hearts she had drawn and the explanation: "I made for you hearts cuz I like you (kids are the best!!!), so this sweet little bunny from I Heart You mini was the perfect addition to her birthday card envelope!

The coordinating die can be found HERE.

TIP: Whenever I decorate the outside of an envelope, I use alcohol markers to color... this way I don't have to worry about adding a sealant layer to protect it from the rain. To prevent bleed through ruining the envelope (it is thin paper after all), I slip a piece of scrap cardstock into the envelope while I'm coloring.

I shared these last two a couple weeks ago, but they are also part of this release... This one is Rose Background

And this one is one I know I'll be painting over and over- Smell the Roses

And, as promised, a couple years ago I noticed pile of dead grasses in the flower box by my garage... confused, I investigated and found a bunny nest... Because of where it was, I was able to hang a trail camera near by so I could watch the nest without disturbing it.
