Just a quick reminder of the Colorado Craft Company blog/instagram hop GIVEAWAYS are still going... Click HERE for all the giveaway info.  Winners will be announced on the 3C blog.

And of course, I have some inspiration for you today!

This card combines the scenery stamps from Bunny Life with one of the sweet ducks from Lucky Duck...

For this card, I was playing with different ways of getting visual texture in watercolors... some of my favorites include:
Salt sprinkled on wet paint and left to dry (bushes)
Blotting (ground, and sky)
Flicking paint or water (green splatters)
Granulating paint (ground, bushes and sky... I love my granulating watercolors!)

This list is just a few of the ways I play with creating textures... What ways do you add visual texture to watercolors?

I'll be back with more soon... see you then!

  2. I’ve seen that several of your watercolor cards have a gorgeous “swirl/spiral” texture in the sky area. How do you get that effect? Is it a stamping technique? A stencil? A specific watercolor paper? It’s amazing.
