Pickery, pumpkins, and pencils
Hello my wonderful friends!
For this card I decided to go with the colors from the new Unity Challenge... I love this color combo, and isn't that little girl ADORABLE???
It's time for another Unity hop!
Don't let his adorable little face fool you, he's a thief!
I have a squirrel feeder just outside my studio door. I love watching all the little critters.. The funny thing is, the last time we refilled that feeder, we found an ink pad... brand new, still in shrink plastic, cat eye ink pad. I have no idea where it came from. It isn't mine. I haven't bought that kind of ink in ages.. before I moved here. So, somewhere, someone is missing a yellow ink pad that Pickery stole and stashed. LOL!
ANYWAY...
For this card, I used watercolor crayons to stamp the image. The blue paper is a technique I love but haven't actually used in a while. I started by running kraft paper through an embossing folder. I then tinted some gesso with Distress reinker. I then spritzed it with water... even though the ink is mixed into the gesso, it still reacts to water giving that classic splatter look. I then sanded it to highlight the texture. You can find a step-by-step tutorial HERE.

For this card, I decided to dig out my watercolor pencils. Last week over at our FB chat, a couple people asked for techniques to do with watercolor pencils...
If there is any technique or product you would like to learn more about, just let us know. We aim to please!
