thank you roses...

Hello my fabulous friends!

I have some exciting news to share!
I've been invited to join the InkOn3 design team! My first official post will be later this week..

This has inspired my "The Daily Marker 30 Day coloring challenge"... I've been working on my no-line watercolors!  (be sure to follow me on Instagram to see all my coloring challenging picts)

Paper: Strathmore Bristol Smooth; Neenah Classic Crest Solar White
Stamps: LDRS Creative If Friends were Flowers, Love and Smell the Roses, Thank You
Ink: Ink On 3 FadeoutJuicy Watermark; Distress Ink Victorian Velvet
Coloring: Zig Clean Color Real Brush
Flower- 070, 230, 028, 083
Leaves- 046, 043
Dies:  LDRS Creative Practically Oval Frame
Embossing Folder: Crafters Companion Regency Swirls

I started by stamping my flowers using InkOn3 Fadeout ink. This is an ink specifically designed for no-line coloring.  I used stamps from two different stamp sets (If Friends Were Flowers, and Love and Smell the Roses). I love how flawlessly you can mix and match between those two sets!

I then used Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers to color it.

For the frame, I first embossed a piece of cardstock, then die cut it. I haven't used an embossing folder in quite a while, but I really love the added texture it gives the finished piece!

I then used an blending tool and Distress ink to highlight the raised areas.

Distress ink stays wet for  a while, so I was able to dust it with Perfect Gold Perfect Pearls for a beautiful shimmer.

I heat embossed the sentiment using Gold Rush embossing powder.  I love how bright and shiny this gold powder is!

Stacking all the elements together with a bit of foam tape between the layers, and the card is done! I love how elegant it turned out!

So do you prefer seeing watercolor project, Copic projects, or a mix of the two? Let me know!

See you soon!
