BetterPress Holidays...

    Hello my fabulous friends!

Ok, let's be honest here... I tried to resist.

I told myself I didn't need it. Wouldn't even look at it. Completely unnecessary. I don't need another tool. I don't have room for another tool.

but then, I caved...

I bought myself a BetterPress a couple months ago... and I haven't regretted it for a single second! It's fabulous! Easy to use, great results, and I'm having so much fun with it!

This week I've been playing with some new Spellbinders BetterPress plates from the Home for the Holidays collection- getting a jump start on my Christmas cards for the year .

Please note, while Spellbinders did send me some products and asked  me to create with them, my opinions remain my own.

I absolutely LOVE the Night and Day Pines, it's such an elegant background texture!
For this card, I used white pigment ink and some Desert Sand Neenah paper. While the letterpress texture is not nearly as pronounce on this paper as it would be on the BetterPress cotton paper, it still gives a beautiful result! I used the Day plate for this card.

NOTE: be very careful when inking this up with a foam pigment ink pad... It can shred the foam if you aren't careful! (Yes, that would be experience speaking...OOPS!)

The sentiment is from Sending Joy Sentiments (a BetterPress plate with coordinating die). I love that you can get GORGEOUS hot foiled results with these plates as well! I find it easier to justify spending money on plates when I know there are so many ways I can use them in my art!

This Is Color Mix Joy- It is my first BetterPress plate with a registration template.. It was so easy to use!

After BetterPressing the JOY, I taped the small sentiments on where I wanted them, slipped small pieces of foil underneath, and used my Glimmer to foil them. I love how it turned out!

If you look closely, you can see the Day and Night Pines (night plate) foiled in Polished Brass as one of the layers... I love that little bit of pattern it adds without pulling focus!

Have you started on your holiday cards?

See you soon!
