Shine Bright with Spellbinders
Hello my fabulous friends,
and welcome to all who are new!
Spellbinders recently sent me a few of the fabulous products from their new Shine Bright line and asked me to create something... and honestly, it was a much need bright spot in my studio!
Hot Foil Plate: Spellbinders Sparkle Background
Die: Spellbinders Shine Bright
Foil: Spellbinders Bright Pink, Champagne
The Sparkle Background foil plate is a fun way to add some foil details to your backgrounds. It is not, however, a full cover plate size (so it won't cover the full A2 card front in one pass). Personally, I like the white space left over on the edge, especially when off set with a bold foiled border. (the striped border is just strips of pink foiled card stock layered with some white card stock)
The letters are not a foil plate, they are a regular die (and the shadow die). However, you can use any of the solid Hot Foil Plates - like this Solid Rectangle to create custom foiled card stock that can then be die cut. I used Champagne Foil for this. The soft gold color of Champagne is my favorite gold!
I die cut the letters 3 times from regular card stock, and stacked them together for dimension, then glued the foiled letters on top.
I foiled some of the accent sparkles from Sparkle Background in the same Champagne as the letters, and die cut them and added a few to help tie the gold into the background.
Photographing foiled cards is challenging! It's hard to show just how pretty it really is, but I love the way it turned out!
