the sweetest... with Club LLLC

Hello my fabulous friends!

Today I have two sweet projects to share featuring this month's Club La-La Land Crafts kit..

Paper: Neenah Classic Crest Solar White; Coordinations; DCWV Metallics
Stamps: Club LLLC Beary Special
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black; Uniball Signo
Coloring: Copics
Bears- W1, W3, W6, W8, W10
Spoon- E53, E57, E59
Honey- YR30, Y21, Y26, 99
Blue- BG10, BG72, BG75, BG78, B99

The bears in this month's kit are SO adorable!

I decided to keep things pretty CAS for this card and really let the bears shine!

The bear holding the jar has his arm up like he is waving, but if you tuck him slightly behind the bear with the spoon (except for his cheek.. that goes in front of the spoon bear) then it looks like he's giving his friend a hug!

I wanted to bring in some color to this card, so I found some cardstock that matched the lid on the jar my bear is holding, and die cut the Half Doily twice. I wanted it to look like a bunting instead of a doily for this card.  I used the Doily String Border across the top edge so it looked finished. I die cut that from some foil cardstock to give the card some shine!

To accent the sentient, I glued on some of the left over dots from the centers of the Doily String Border... They make FABULOUS accents, without adding much bulk!

For my second project today, I have a tag for my cupcakes...

I love making fancy cupcakes, and when I give them away to friends and neighbors, I like to attach a cute tag to the box...

Paper: Neenah Classic Crest Solar White; Georgia Pacific white cardstock, mulberry paper
Stamps: Club LLLC Made With Love Marci
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black; Uniball Signo; Distress Ink Wild Honey, Tea Dye, Vintage Photo, Pine Needles, Salty Ocean
Coloring: Copics
Skin- E30, E31, E33, RV42, E04, R11
Hair- E53, E57, E47, E49
Dress- BG10, BG72, BG75, BG78, BG99
Apron- YR21, YR24, YR27, E99
Shoes- W5, W7, W9
Other: acrylic paint, ribbon, twine

I stamped, colored, then fussy cut Marci, then attached her to the tag with foam tape for dimension. Behind her, I tucked two Half Doily dies, cut from mulberry paper (so they are thin and have a soft homemade texture)

For the background, I die cut the Doily String Border from craft foam, and cut out one of the doilies. I taped that to an acrylic block, and stamped it repeatedly over the tag with white acrylic paint. I then went over the tag with Distress ink. When I was finished blending the ink, I took a damp rag and wiped some of the ink off the painted areas...

This is a great way to create custom backgrounds and stretch your dies!

And on the back of my tag, I have a description of the cupcakes...

The "Homemade" and "With Love" stamps are perfect for the back of tags and cards!

Quick tip: If you have a stamp positioning tool like the MISTI, you can make custom colors of ink to match your project! Simply stamp in one color, then stamp over top of that with another color... For mine, I stamped the sentiments in Distress Ink Pine Needles, but it was too green, so I then stamped over top with Salty Ocean...The resulting color is a dark teal that matched Marci's dress and helped tie the front to the back of the tag!
