geraniums and old supplies...
Hello my fabulous friends!
I'm back with a new Spellbinders die from the September release... This gorgeous 3D flower is called Geranium and Antique Wooden Bucket. As the name suggests, this die not only includes the pieces to make beautiful geraniums, but also a fun bucket to put them in! I had tons of fun with textures and unusual supplies with this one...
Let's take a closer look!
When I was thinking about what I wanted to do with this pretty flower die, I decided to go digging through my stash of odd and interesting papers... I came across this beautiful red flocked paper... I've probably had it for 12 years (yeah... I have a problem... LOL!). I honestly wasn't sure how well it would hold it's shape, but it worked BEAUTIFULLY! And it's so soft to touch!
Don't be afraid to try different kinds of paper... you never know what will end up being your favorite! This quickly became my favorite flower paper! Now to find more colors....
The green paper I used for the leaves was pulled out of my scrap box... who knows how long it's been there! I seriously need to do a dejunking! LOL! It felt great to actually be using my scraps instead of just hoarding them!
Continuing on with the "found items' theme I ended up having with this piece, I found some wood veneer with adhesive on the back stashed away that was perfect for the bucket! I adhered it to regular cardstock, then die cut it. I added some randome ink colors and some Distress Mica Spray and that's it!
These flowers are so pretty (especially in the flocked paper), I wanted to make some hair clips... but none of my nieces live close enough to model them for me... and my dog doesn't like bows in her hair. LOL!
However, I'm thinking I still might make some clips for my nieces an have my sisters take pictures for me...
Ok, enough thinking out loud...
As with the other Spellbinders flower dies I've been showcasing, you can find a how to video right on the product page. I've still got one more to share later this week.
See you soon!

I’ve been following your work for awhile now.. you are so talented. Thought I’d share that instead of being a quiet lurker 🤣. The papers worked out beautifully…they really look like geraniums flowers and leaves!
