gladiolus to brighten your day...

Hello my fabulous friends!

I'm back with a new Spellbinders die from the September release...   This gorgeous 3D flower is called Gladiolus and Berry Picking Basket.  I'll be honest, it's been a while since I've made 3D flowers... mostly because it's hard to mail these kinds of cards... but this one was SO fun, I want to make more!

 Let's take a close look!

Please note, while Spellbinders did send me product and ask me to create with it, my opinions remain my own.

*Affiliate links have been used, this doesn't change the price you pay, but it does really help me continue bringing you exciting new content, so thank you!

Colors: Copic RV25, V05, Y19, G85, YG67

Hot Foil Plates: Spellbinders Modern Lines, Mini Everyday Sentiments

Foil: Spellbinders Silver, Bright Pink

This die makes creating gorgeous flowers very simple! And should for easy reference, Spellbinders has a video showing how to assemble the flowers right on the product page! The dies have a little 'x' and a number on them, so you know how many times to die cut each piece. I precut the pieces from cheap white cardstock, then sat down and followed along with the video. Super easy!

After making my practice flower, I decided to look up photos of gladiolus to see what colors they come in...

*spoiler alert*

The come in TONS of beautiful colors!

I found one called Pricilla that I fell in love with... so I set about trying to recreate the purples, pinks, and yellows with my Copic air brush. After everything was colored, I shaped the petals and leaves, and glued it all together/

To finish off the card, I added some background lines in Silver foil, and the sentiment in Bright Pink foil using the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System

The bulk of this card makes it better for hand delivering or for slipping inside a box... And I think I know the perfect person to give it too...

See you soon!
