My first time to the ocean was when I was 17. I wish I could say that is when I fell in love with it, but it wasn't until I was a few years older, and I went back that the ocean stole my heart.. Now I live about an hour away, and it is my calm place.. the place where the world makes sense. Maybe that's why I fell in love with this crab from Polkadoodles's newest digi collection... Zodiac
This collection has the full range of zodiac/horiscope images... And while I'm not a cancer, I had to paint the crab anyway.
Stamp: Polkadoodles Zodiac digital collection
Color: Watercolors
Daniel Smith- Quinacridone Lilac, Phthalo Green (blue shade), Transparent Pyrrol Orange, Quinacridone Gold, Buff Titanium, Moonglow
Winsor and Newton- Lamp Black
This sweet little guy was super fun to paint, and was the perfect opportunity to include a watercolor technique I don't often use... salt. I love the texture it adds!!!
Hope you enjoy the video!
If you have any questions, or requests (technique, specific stamps, mediums, whatever!), let me know!
