make a wish...

Good morning all!
Over at the Design Dollies blog, they have a challenge to make a project inspired by a nursery rhyme...
Here is a very simple card based on the nursery rhyme "Ladybug, Ladybug"
According to Wikipedia, this is a chant you say when a ladybug lands on you... if it flies away, your wish will be granted...

Ladybug, ladybug
Flyaway home.
Your house is on fire
And your children are gone.
All except one,
and her name is Ann
And she hid under the backing pan.

Paper: Bazzill, Provo Craft, cheap white cardstock
Cricut: Nursery Rhyme
Stamps: 3 Bugs in a Rug "Flower Patch"
Ink: Distress ink
CI paint: Winter frost

For the base of this card, I randomly stamped flowers on plain white cardstock. I then inked the edges with my ink pad directly on the paper.

I painted under the wings with Winter Frost... isn't it gorgeous!!! I love how well it shows up on the black paper!

The ribbon was died using Distress ink to match all the stamping.

Very simple, I know, but I have to throw in some simple projects using few supplies every once in a while for my sis.... love ya Alika!!!! =)

  1. beautiful card, Kassi! i love the little children, and the colours and distressing are fabulous! curious about that Winter Frost paint - is it pearlescent, or does it just look so yummy because of the textured paper to which it's applied? i love the effect, regardless! thanks for joining us in the Dollhouse! hope to see you again soon! :)
