o.d. of cricut...

Good morning all!
Today's project may need to come with a warning... Caution: Cricut overload area!
*is there such a thing??*

The story behind this page.... If you will recall, I was given a Gypsy for my B-day... ever since, I have found I use my Cricut a LOT more. Well, a few nights ago, I woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't get back to sleep. Now, often when this happens, I pull out my Picross game... for some reason puzzles relax me... This night, however, I decided to pull out my Gypsy... This LO is the result. I counted... out of curiosity... with all the layers, there are close to 70 die cuts on this LO... My E got quite the workout! hehehe
Paper: Bazzill, My Minds Eye, cheap white cardstock *love this stuff!*
Cricut: Gypsy Wandering, Nursery Rhyme, Home Accents
Stamps: Fancy Pants "In My Words", Inkadinkado "Letter", Basic Grey "Different Strokes", Martha Stewart "Patterns"
Inks: Memento, Distress ink, Alcohol ink
CI paint: Burnt Clay, Fairydust
Other: ribbon, Pearl ex, eyelets, gems

All the flowers and leaves were cut out of plain white cardstock... this let me color them how I wanted after they were cut instead of knowing exactly how many of each color I wanted before hand. *this is probably the most "planned" LO I have ever done... but I didn't want to think ahead enough to plan out flower colors ahead of time.....* I then stamped them with different background stamps to give them some interest.
The gems began clear, then were colored with alcohol inks. *I went a bought a nice stash of the clear gems because I can easily change the color to fit my needs... just like the white cardstock, the white ribbon, the plain brads... you get the idea*
The butterflies were painted with Fairydust CI paint.. They ended up having a tinge of orange to them because I didn't clean my craft sheet well enough before mixed the paint with a little water on it... I think it looks kinda cool with the slight tinge... I also inked around it, and dotted around it to help define it on the page since it isn't a very big contrast from the background papers.
The ribbon was painted with Burnt Clay CI paint.
Well, I hope you enjoyed your daily dose of Cricut... and sparkles...
Have a fabulous day!

  1. What a beautiful layout! I can't imagine making so many cuts (I'm a little lazy). But you did a great job!
