circles and frogs...
Happy Friday everyone! It's the weekend!!!
Today's card is kind of about using leftovers.... I didn't really do that on purpose, but it ended up being that way... The Kraft paper is from another project, and it has been embossed with Provo Craft "Polka Dots" embossing folder. The raised dots were then inked with a pigment ink, and clear embossed.
The purple cardstock is a scrap, and it has been distressed around the edges. Because it is Coredinations, the inner core is a coordinating color, so I didn't need to use any ink on the edges... Nice and simple...
The ribbon is also leftover... It started out as a white ribbon, but I dyed it with All Purpose ink. The great thing about using that ink to dye ribbon is that if it is heat set, it is a fabric ink. No need to worry about the color coming off....
The cute little frog is by Penny Black, and I used Distress Inks to watercolor him in... that is one of my favorite ways to use this ink!
These fun little embellishments are just regular buttons from my stash, I then glued some Metallic Inspirations over the holes... it gives it a whole new look with a fun pop of color... Even those these are heat set Metallic Inspirations, I use Glossy Accents when adhering to buttons. It ensures a very strong bond.
Pop back by tomorrow for a fun tutorial that takes another common item to a whole new level!
Enjoy!
