purple and gold...
Hello my wonderful friends!
It's time for another Unity hop!
(and sale!)
This sale is TONS of fun!
And for a little more fun...
(What Lies Within Us, Dirty Halo)
This card uses two past Kit of the Month kits... The flowers are from What Lies Within Us, and the Sentiment is from Dirty Halo.
I wanted to keep things fairly simple today... Life has been kind of crazy lately, and after a really LONG night last night, I just needed something simple and happy...
I stamped the image using Magicals from Lindy's Stamp Gang. I've showed this technique before (and I TOTALLY love the results)... Basically, inked up the flowers with VersaMark, then I pounced on some Magicals with a paint brush. This technique allows you to place colors where you want them, so purple on the flowers and green on the stems... I then spritzed it with a little water and stamped.. The color variations happen naturally since the Magicals are made up of tiny pigment particles... Since we aren't stirring or mixing here, the individual colors of pigments that make up the colors (like yellows and blues in the green) show... It really is magical! It makes it look like you spent tons of time adding different tints and tones into the image, but it is SO much easier than that, and blends beautifully! :)
You can check out a video of it HERE
Ok.. that's it for me... go enjoy the rest of the hop!
