colorful layered flowers...

Hello my fabulous friends!

A few weeks ago, LDRS Creative went on HSN with a BUNCH of new stuff, and I've got a bunch of projects to share today using a few of them...

Two of those new products are layering floral stamps...

These flowers are so fun, and you can arrange them in so many different ways! The layering takes a bit of practice to line up, but honestly, they don't need to be perfectly aligned to work! It's an easy way to get great detailed images without  much effort! Please don't be intimidated by it.. and if you need help, just ask!

They also released 24 hybrid ink cubes!  The cubes are the same great ink formula (good for both alcohol markers and watercolor) and the same colors as the current LDRS Creative ink line... just in a smaller size!

I used these inks to stamp all the flowers in these cards.. You can mix and match, and over-stamp to get a large variety of color combos..  Let's take a look, shall we?

For these poppies I used Flesh, In Your Face Orange, Lipstick Jungle, Dan-D-Lion, Snowy White, Evergreen, Key Lime Pie and Raven inks.

These poppies are done with Lantern Yellow, Dan-D-Lion, Iced Tea, Flesh, Raven, Olive Branch, and Key Lime Pie

These flower sets DO come with coordinating dies so you can easily create bouquets and create dimension without the need to fussy cut!

I love this color combo.... Tutu Pink, Flesh, Lipstick Jungle, Scarlet Rose, Snowy White, Dan-D-Lion, Key Lime Pie, Evergreen, Raven

Also used: Scalloped Rectangle

This cheerful bunch uses In Your Face Orange, Dan-D-Lion, Lipstick Jungle, Flesh, Key Lime Pie, Olive Branch, Snowy White, and Raven...

Even though I didn't use a ton of different ink colors, each poppy is slightly different... You can get a lot of variety by simply switching up what inks I layered together,  using multi-stamping (where you stamp the same image in the same color multiple times to get a darker color), and over-stamping (where you stamp the same image multiple times in different colors to change the color... For example, I might stamp the the base of the flower with Lipstick Jungle, then stamp it again with Flesh to change it to a coral color...  A MISTI really helps with this so you know you are stamping in the same place each time)..

These purple poppies use: La La Lavender, Plum Crazy, Lipstick Jungle, Snowy White, Dan-D-Lion, Key Lime Pie, Evergreen, Raven

I also used the Scallop Rectangle Die

Ok... let's check out a few tulip ideas too...

Here we have Lantern Yellows, Dan-D-Lion, Iced Tea, Key Lime Pie, Evergreen, and Coffee Bean for the sentiment.

The die on this is  Happy Days

These ones are done in La La Lavender, Grape Ape, Pink Tutu, Lipstick Jungle, Flesh, Evergreen, and Key Lime Pie

That fun edge was made using the Waves and Clouds die

These tulips are Pink Tutu, Lipstick Jungle, Scarlet Rose, Olive Branch, Key Lime Pie, and Coffee Bean...
Don't be afraid to use a dark brown as your darkest color, especially if your over all flower is already on the darker side... It adds a lot of depth!

The large oval is from the Woodland Foliage Frames set

These multi toned tulips are done in Dan-D-Lion, Lantern Yellow, In Your Face Orange,  Lipstick Jungle, Four Leaf, and Key Lime... With Raven for the sentiment

The card base was made using the Woodland Foliage Frames  dies

And finally we have a magic slider using Pink Tutu, Lantern Yellow, Lipstick Jungle, Evergreen, Key Lime Pie, Flesh, Dan-D-Lion, with Raven for the sentiment.

These inks work great on non-porous surfaces like acetate... just make sure you heat set!

The Jubilee Magical Slider die make creating this fun interactive card super easy!

Well, I hope that inspired you to break out those Poppy and Tulip stamps, as well as your inks!

Both flower stamp sets are currently only found at HSN... You can get them HERE
(they are listed as one product, but you can choose which set by clicking on the "COLOR" option)

The ink cubes can be found at HSN by clicking HERE

See you soon!
