hang in there...

Hello my fabulous friends!

You know that feeling, when you look around, and everyone else seems calm, and collected, and you are just hanging on by our toenails...

Sometimes we all need a reminder to HANG IN THERE!

I have been having a lot of fun with this new Batty For You stamp set from La-La Land Crafts
Though we typically think of bats for Halloween, these bats can be used for so much more!

And the Twigs die is perfect to hanging your bats..

Oh the expression on this guy!

He can either be flying or hanging.. or in this case, barely hanging..

I added white dots in various places for a little interest, and didn't like it.. So I went over my dots with  a glitter gel pen... Now they sparkle, and are much more subtle (until the light hits them and they shine!)

I colored the branches and leaves with some simple Copic coloring.. To get the speckles on the leaves, I used my Copic Airbrush, but instead of putting the chisel tip in, I used the brush tip... this gives an uneven speckle spray... Great for adding a bit of texture!

Quick tip- When coloring tiny die cuts (or even bigger die cuts if you need to), stick a piece of low tack tape to your desk with the sticky side up.. Tack the ends down with more tape so it stays in place... You can then stick your die cuts to the tape to color them.  SO much easier than trying to chase them around!

I wanted to add just a touch more color, so I die cut and colored one of the Filigree Leaves, then cut it in half, then glued that along the edge.

Just in case you need it, consider this your reminder to hang in there...

And if you know someone else who is struggling... remind them too.

See you soon!
