the princess and the dragon

Hello my fabulous friends!

I am actually at Creativation right now... It's almost over, but it's been amazing!
To make things even better, I get to share with you some of the new things La-La Land Crafts has released!

Are you ready???

Tower- W1, W4
Sky- B02
Dies: LLLC Large Stitched Tags, Castle, Ribbon Corner, Small Stars, Curved Pocket
Other:  rhinestones

I absolutely adore this sweet princess! She is so much fun to color... and her hair... swoon!

I used the Large Stitched Tag as my castle wall, and used the new Once Upon a Time background stamp to give it texture.  Those little stars are also new, and so much fun! They are great accents for so many things!

I die cut the tower out of both white cardstock and metallic cardstock.  A little snipping apart, coloring, and layering, and you have a fun fairytail worthy tower with a metal roof!

This bow is one of my favorites of the new dies.. why? Because it is so versatile! Here it adds a bit of detail and color to my castle wall.. It also hides the fact that the wall has a hole in it (from the hole in the tag). Win win!

My second project today also belongs in fairy tails...

Paper: Kraft; DCWV Glitzy Glitter; Georgia Pacific black
Stamps: LLLC Dream Come True, Once Upon a Time
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black; VersaMark; Gelly Roll Clear Star; Copic Multiliner
Coloring: Copic
Green- BG13, YG03, YG05, YG07, YG09, BG49
Blue- BG000, FBG2, BG07, B99
Dies:  LLLC Unicorn, Rainbow, Ribbon Corner, Large Stitched Tags, Curved Pocket
Other: Distress Paint Mowed Lawn; Tattered Angel Turquoise Blue Shimmer Spray; embossing powder

This dragon box has it's own built in tag holder! It started as a regular pillow box, but I added the Curved Pocket to the front. Perfect for wrapping small gifts or party favors!

To create the skin, I heat embossed the Once Upon a Time background with a clear pearl embossing powder on kraft paper. I then covered the whole thing in green paint. The embossing resists the paint, leaving behind the scale pattern. For extra texture I splattered some shimmer spray around the edges.

His eyes are from the Unicorn Face, his nostrils are the loops of the Bow, and his snout is made from one of the stripes in the Stitched Rainbow.

His ears are also from the Unicorn Face... I love that you can create more than one animal with that die set!

To finish the box off, is a little dragon tag go go inside the pocket... Isn't he adorable?!?!

Other: Ranger Stickles; embossing powder, rhinestones, twine

This little fairy is my favorite of the three... She is so cute! And really fun to color!

These little stars become buttons if you punch 2 little holes in them and thread some twine through it!

I had so much fun with this tutu... When I first realized it fit on the Dress Form, I got really excited! The last Ballet costume I ever wore was a classic tutu as a swan in Swan Lake, and now I get to design my own! I first die cut it from glitter paper, and added shading and rhinestones. I then cut it again from white cardstock  and from mulberry paper. The I crinkled the mulberry paper to give it volume, and layered it between the glitter and the white tutus. There is lots of texture and dimension here!

For my frame, I lightly airbrushed with a few different colors to create a gradient from purple to pink. I  then heat embossed the Once Upon a Time background stamp with some glitter white embossing powder. I love the bit of texture and sparkle it gives the card!
