peek-a-boo back ground

Hello my fabulous friends!

I don't know about you, but I'm ready for spring!

I noticed while I was shoveling snow the other day that the spring bulbs have started growing!

In honor of that, I wanted to make a CAS cheerful spring card!

Paper: Neenah Classic Crest Solar White
Stamps: LDRS Creative Beautiful Blooms
Ink: LDRS Creative Raven, Lipstick Jungle, Dan-D-Lion
Coloring: Copic
Pink- RV10, R83, R85, R89
Yellow- Y02, Y19, YR24, YR27, E37
Purple- V12 V15, V17, FV2
Green- YG03, YG93, YG95, YG97, YG99
Hydrangeas- G20, G21, B32, B34
Stencil: LDRS Creative Plaid

This card is easy and fun to make... Let me show you how...

Step 1: Stamp the large flower cluster from Beautiful Blooms with Raven ink onto a panel cut to the size of your card front.

Step 2: Color using your favorite medium. LDRS Creative Hybrid ink is safe for alcohol markers, watercolors, pencils.. what ever you want.. Just be sure you are using the correct paper for the medium you are using. I'm using my Copics.

Step 3: Use a pencil and ruler to LIGHTLY draw lines where you want the background to show.

Step 4: Use a craft knife to cut along your lines until you reach the flowers, then cut around the flowers leaving a slight white border. Carefully erases the pencil lines.

Step 5: Stamp the sentiment. I love how Raven ink is a dark black ink!

Step 6: Using low tack tape, tape the Plaid stencil to the front of your card base.

Step 7: Use ink blenders to blend ink through the stencil. I used Dan-D-Lion and Lipstick Jungle. They blend together beautifully, and make a pretty peach color where they overlap!

Step 8: Add foam adhesive (or sheets of foam with adhesive) to the back of the panel that has your flowers.

Step 9: Adhere to your card base so the plaid background shows through the window.

See how easy that was? I love the fun background the Plaid stencil makes! And these inks blend beautifully!

If you aren't a flower fan, you can use this same design technique with any of your favorite stamps!  And here's a little teaser... more stencils are coming soon!!!

See you soon!
