to the moon and back...

Hello my fabulous friends!
Happy Valentines Day to all those who celebrate it!

I love these roses from LDRS Creative.. they look so  lovely colored in red (or any color!).
I wanted a simple, yet elegant and rich looking card to showcase them...

Paper: Neenah Classic Crest Solar White; DCWV Metallics
Stamps: LDRS Creative Love and Smell the Roses
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black; All Purpose ink Vegas Gold; Distress ink Chipped Sapphire, Blueprint Sketch, Salty Ocean, Tumbled Glass; LDRS Creative Watermark
Coloring: Copic
Reds: R24, R37, R59, BG96
Greens-YG25, YG95, YG97, YG99
Dies:  LDRS Creative Heart Felt (on sale now),
Other: embossing powder; star sequins;

With a little masking, I arranged the three big rose to look like a heart. I hand cut the cluster, and layered it on top of a heart doily. I have a bunch of doilies in my stash that I just never seem to find the right place to use... But I really like how it looks layered behind these flowers!

To create my background, I used multiple shades of blue Distress ink and started with the lightest color in the center and moved towards the outer edges, getting darker as I went. I then splattered on some gold ink and a sprinkling of tiny gold star sequins.

The word LOVE is die cut out of gold metallic paper. I love the elegance this gives the card! The rest of the sentiment is heat embossed in white.

A red and gold ribbon mad the perfect bow to finish the card off!

See you soon!
