love gift card tag...

Hello my fabulous friends!

Ready for some more Hedgehog Hollow fun?

Today we are going to be making this fun card with a gift card tag (and matching envelope!)

Paper: Strathmore Bristol Smooth; Neenah Desert Storm
Stamps: Hedgehog Hollow Ampersand Love, Oval Butterfly
Ink: InkOn3 Blackout ink; Wow Free Style embossing ink
Coloring: Zig Clean Color Real Brush (230, 061, 046); PrismaColor pencils (929, 938, 1097)
Dies: La-La Land Crafts Large Stitched Tags
Embossing: Hedgehog Hollow/ Wow! Black and Gold, Everything Glitters but Rose
Other: seam binding, doilies; Hedgehog Hollow kraft envelope

Step 1: Start by stamping the Ampersand multiple times on a piece cardstock cut to 4" x 5.25" in black ink. By rotating the stamp at various angles each time, you can create a beautiful vine filled background.

Color your leaves and roses using your favorite coloring medium.

Step 2: Cut a doily in half, then stack the halves slightly off-set to give you two layers of ruffles. Wrap that around the lower left corner and crease.

Step 3: Using the Wow! free style tool, apply embossing ink randomly across both doilies. Heat embossing with Black and Gold embossing powder. Apply more ink randomly on the doilies and heat emboss using Everything Glitters but Gold embossing powder.

Step 4: Die cut a tag using your favorite tag die. Stamp the 'LO' from the word 'love' in black ink, then stamp the 'VE' underneath. Stamp a sentiment. Color as desired.

Step 5: Wrap the doilies around the corner of the stamped panel, and adhere in the back. Adhere panel to a card base.

Step 6: Adhere a bow to the tag, and use double stick tape to attach a gift card to the back of the tag.

Step 7: Stamp one of the taped flowers on the back of the kraft envelope using black ink.
Color if desired.

*I also added some light pencil lines so I can add the address straight, then erase the lines later.

Slip the tag into the pocket formed by the doilies, and it's done!

This is such a fun option for including a gift card in your card! It's a happy surprise when they pull out the tag!

The freestyle tool really did well highlighting the texture of the doily, and I love the mix of the two powders!

Do you know any other creative ways of including gift cards in a card?

See you soon!
