life update and news...

Hello my fabulous friends!

I usually try to keep my personal life out of my art blog, but life has gotten a bit crazy lately and it's affecting my art....

My mom spent the better part of the past month in the hospital... long story short, she ended up having 2 surgeries (one an emergency one, and the other was an aftermath of the first), and during the emergency surgery, they found more cancer... 

While my mom was in the hospital, I was taking care of her dog, and she developed a nasty infection, bruising, and a large lump on her stomach... This was very concerning, obviously, so we took her to the vet.. Apparently all of this was caused from her biting and chewing on herself... The vet isn't sure what caused the sudden behavior change.. possibly an allergy, but we don't know....

 Now she's got a cone of shame until things heal and she stops biting herself...

And through all of this, my own health issues and disorders have been out of control, and leaving me struggling to get anything done...

I have been trying REALLY hard to keep up with the regular blog posts, Facebook posts, and daily Instagram posts... plus trying to film videos you guys have been asking for...

I'm trying to do it all... 

But I'm not succeeding.

I'm not disappearing, but posts may be a bit less regular for a little while.. 

Please be patient with me while I recover my equilibrium.

And for some happier news... 

1- I've got 2 watercolor tutorial videos filmed featuring Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers... just need to finish the voice overs and editing! One is a flower, the other is a snowman...   What other watercolor tutorials do you want to see?  Do you want more Zig tutorials, or do you want to see other watercolors?  Or do you want me to make some more Copic tutorials?? 

Let me know! I want to make videos that YOU want to see. 

2- My sweet friend Nikky from Polkadoodles sent me an incredibly generous care package full of her newest stamps and papers... be sure to check out the  Jingle Bell Joy, and Winnie Winter Wishes collections.. they are ADORABLE! You'll be seeing me these in upcoming posts. In fact... the WIP photo at the top of this post is one of these stamps!

3- Inkon3 released their new line of watercolor inks: Atelier 

There are currently 8 colors (they can be mixed to create new colors)... I'm still in the process of experimenting with them, but I'm hoping to have projects to share soon...
