I will carry you...

Hello my fabulous friends!

For those who don't know me and my working style, I try to make DT cards early.. this ensures that the company has the images in plenty of time, and also I don't have to get stressed out the night before... Weeks ago, when I was coloring this image, I had no idea just how poignant this would be...

The past weeks have felt like one storm after another... 

(both literally and figuratively)

While these two friends aren't practicing social distancing, they are a perfect example of how I've felt... Friends and loved ones happily reaching out... making sure I have an umbrella, and carrying me when the water is too deep for my short little legs...

And I know I'm not the only one who has felt this.. I have seen so many examples of wonderful people reaching out, and making sure that while we are all kept apart physically, that we stay connected, needs are met, and rainbows are found.  

I colored this card using Copics... I had a lot of fun creating various textures in the skin, shell, grass, and sky...

I also added in some white polkadots using Bleedproof White ink from Dr. Ph. Martins... I like this white ink because (like the name says) it doesn't make the color bleed... Some white pens will soak up some of the color they are put over, but this ink stays nice and white!

I used a stencil and an airbrush to create the clouds and rain

"Embrace the puddles

Chase the rainbows"
