Now for what you have been waiting for...

Paper: Neenah Classic Crest Solar White
Stamps: LDRS Creative Arctic Snowfall, Hot Chocolate, Mountains
Ink: LDRS Creative Alloy, Dark Wash Jeans; Distress Ink Black Soot, Chipped Sapphire, Blueprint Sketch, Salty Ocean, Picket Fence; Uniball Signo, Copic Multiliner
Coloring: Copics
Fox- W00, W1, W3
Snow- BV20, C0
Mountains- E70, E71, E74
Other: LDRS Creative Stamping Mask Paper;  Ranger Perfect Pearls;

I wanted a white fox.. but white isn't JUST white, theres shadows to it.. And since he is on white snow there really isn't much contrast... So I went with a light blue-violet and a light gray for the snow, and warm grays for my fox. I also stamped him in a Alloy ink so his outline wouldn't be too harsh. I went in with a multiline after to darken up his eyes and nose.

These mountains make FABULOUS horizons in your scene cards!

Creating scene cards doesn't have to be hard...

Stamp and mask your fox, then your mountains.
Blend on various blue Distress inks... For extra contrast, add a tiny bit of black just around the edges.
I like to work light to dark, then I go back over again with a second layer of everything to make sure it is saturated and well blended.

To create the snow, mix some water with Perfect Pearls, then use a paint brush to flick speckles over your sky. The Distress ink reacts to the water and you get sparkly splotches all over!

Color the rest of your card, and add in more snowflakes over the whole card..
For more defined snow, add dots of a white gel pen!

Stamp your sentiment in LDRS Creative hybrid ink and cover with Perfect Pearls

Look at that shimmer! That Dark Wash Jeans with the Pearl colored Perfect Pearls is magical!

Now let's take it up a notch...

Paper: Neenah Classic Crest Solar White
Stamps: LDRS Creative  Arctic Snowfall, Tree Line
Ink: LDRS Creative Alloy; Distress Ink Chipped Sapphire, Black Soot, Blueprint Sketch, Salty Ocean, Tumbled Glass; Copic multiliner; Uniball Signo
Coloring: Copics
Moon- B0000, B000, C3, BV01, B21, B23, B24, 0
Snow- C0, C1, C2, C3, C5
Trees- B0000, C3, C4, YG99, BG99
Fox-W00, W1, W3, W5, W7
Other: LDRS Creative Stamping Mask Paper; Ranger Perfect Pearls; acrylic paint

This fox is darker because he is backlit, which means that most of what we see is in shadow.... I also stuck with darker colors for the trees, but left a white edge to them.

For this sky, I also die cut a circle out of masking paper (I then had to cover it with tape because it had some holes in it LOL)

Coloring this moon was trial and error.. I knew what I wanted, but I've never tried to color a moon like this before.... Lots of ink, lots of layers.... most of it scribbles!!! LOL!

Check out that sky! Because the my shimmery dots are only in the sky, they now become stars.

I used Perfect pearls mixed with water for this sky (just like my other card), but I also lightly watered down some acrylic paint and splattered that on for some more opaque stars.

For this snow... I knew I wanted strong color so it would look like night, but I also wanted it to look like snow, not just the sky. I used the same colors as the sky, but kept it lighter... I then masked my masked my sky, tree, and fox, and sprayed the snow with water mixed with Perfect Pearls. The Distress Ink reacts to the water creating these uneven blotches, and the Perfect Pearls makes it shimmer!

Regardless of if you keep things simple, or go crazy with your coloring, This stamps make creating winter scenes lots of fun!

Hop along, and be sure to leave comments for a chance to win!
