And now what you came here for...

Paper: Neenah Classic Crest Solar White
Stamps:  LDRS Creative Puddle Jumper
Stencil: LDRS Creative Rainy Day
Other: Ranger Perfect Pearls

I love how easy the new Rainy Day stencil makes it to create cloud backgrounds!

And a little shimmer doesn't hurt!
Let's take a look at how to do this..

Lay the Rainy Day stencil on your project, and using a sponge or brush, apply LDRS Creative Hybrid ink to your project (I'm using Swimming Hole, but any of the blues would make a fabulous sky).. Make sure you start on the stencil and blend out towards the paper. If you start on the paper you will get harsh lines.

I like to mask off the full clouds with some tape when I am using the edge of the stencil.

Working quickly while the ink is still wet, brush on some Perfect Pearls. The hybrid inks dry fairly fast, but they stay wet long enough that the Perfect Pearls will stick as long as you work quickly.

Stamp "sunshine" in Dan-D-Lion hybrid ink, and apply some Gold Perfect Pearls.

For contrast, stamp the rest of the sentient in Dark Wash Jeans, and don't add any shimmer.  Having contrast both in colors and textures keeps things more visually interesting!

Hop along and leave a comment so you could win!

See you soon!
