squeal!

Hello my fabulous friends!

This little pig splashing in the puddle is SO adorable and looks so happy!!!

And he's absolutely perfect for my friend's birthday card!

Ink: InkOn3 Fadeout, Blackout
Coloring: Zig Clean Color Real Brush

Dies: LDRS Creative Sweet Village, Happy Days

I'm loving the soft colors combined with no line coloring!  It gives little characters like this pig a storybook quality.

TIP: I get lots of comments on Instagram asking about how I get such soft colors with the Zig markers... the answer: Water.   I use a very light hand with the actual markers, then use water to dilute the color and spread it around.. I generally work in light layers to build color up to the intensity that I want. If you haven't checked out my watercolor tutorial video yet, you can watch it HERE.

I do plan on making more videos... I had hoped to have more videos done already, but heath problems (stupid migraines and anxiety) have been slowing me down a bit lately... Hopefully I'll be able to start filming more soon!

I wanted the card to be just as happy as the pig, so I went with bright yellow and teal.
I kept the patterns and shapes relatively simple to keep the focus on the pig. Unfortunately, both the circle and the border dies have now been retired, but I still love them!

The LDRS Creative Pattern Play papers (Country Lane is one of the packs in that line) have a bit of a glossy finish to them.... Because of that, I wanted to make sure to use an ink that would stamp well, and dry on that surface. The Blackout ink worked BEAUTIFULLY!

If there is something specific you want to see me color, or a video you want,  leave me a comment either here or on Instagram so I know what you guys want to see!

See you soon!
