sympathy flowers...

Hello my fabulous friends!

Sympathy cards are always hard... and I'm grateful that I haven't had to make too many..

When my friend reached out to me and asked if I had any sympathy cards on hand, I didn't have any in my stash... but I did have a bunch of watercolor paintings... And this beautiful floral seemed perfect.

Paper: Strathmore Bristol Smooth; DCWV Metallics
Stamps: Gina K. Designs Vibrant Blooms; Hedgehog Hollow Oval Sentiments
Ink: InkOn3 Fadeout, Juicy
Coloring: Zig Clean Color Real Brush
Flowers- 054, 230, 066, 063, 073
Green- 046, 044
Other: Ranger Perfect Pearls Perfect Gold

I love these soft delicate blooms...

I'm learning to really love the soft airiness I can get with watercolors...

I wanted to keep things nice and simple, so I stamped the sentiment with embossing ink, then covered it with Perfect Gold Perfect Pearls for a beautiful shimmer. I then matted that on some metallic gold card stock, and onto the card... Simple yet elegant.

Do you keep sympathy cards on hand, or do you make as the need arises?
I'm hoping I won't have to make any more soon, but I might just paint a few more florals to have on hand... they work for lots of last minute cards!

See you soon!
