This snowman was one of my favorite pieces from the last month of coloring! It challenged me to try new things, and I love how it turned out! This is my first time coloring reflected light with watercolors... It was a lot easier than I thought it might be!
I love all the details in this stamp!
This sentiment is from one of the Polkadoodles stamp sets, Merry and Bright... I embossed it with white embossing powder so it would show up on the patterned printed paper... It is a bit more subtle than I usually do for the sentiment, but it worked out fabulously!
I wanted to add some sparkly accents, but without the mess of actual glitter... So I die cut some glitter paper... The glitter is trapped in a thin plastic film, so it can't rub off and get all over everything! It is harder to cut, especially when working with a detailed die, so I used my Gemini instead of my Big Shot... The Gemini has more pressure, and does better with the detailed dies than the Big Shot (but I still love my Big Shot, and use it for most of my basic die cutting).
Speaking of die cutting... I'm on the look out for some fun basic dies to add to my collection... borders, edges, backgrounds, etc... If you have any favorites, let me know in the comments so I can check them out!
See you soon!
