stormy day alpaca...

Hello my fabulous friends!

This past summer I stumbled across Tracey Hey on Instagram, and I was immediately hooked! I checked out her website and fell in love! Her stamps are SO adorable (and the sentiments are fabulous!), and they are just different from what I'm seeing from other stamp companies... So I ordered a bunch of stamps. When she announced that another release was coming up in November, I started keeping a close eye out for all her sneak peeks... and I placed another large order just hours after the release! (can you tell I like her stamps?)  Anyway, she was super sweet and sent me a few extra sets from her new release for me to design with as well...

And this is one of them.

Paper: Strathmore Bristol Smooth
Stamps: Tracey Hey Alpacamac
Ink: Inkon3 Fadeout, Blackout; Distress Ink Stormy Sky; Dr. Ph. Martin's Bleedproof white
Coloring: Zig Clean Color Real Brush
Alpaca- 901, 069, 902
Yellow- 061, 050
Silver- 904
Purple- 081
Water- 303
Dies: Kat Scrappiness Double Stitched Rectangles; LDRS Creative In a Cloudy Sky

Isn't this alpaca just the cutest?!?!
He is from a set called Alpacamac... there's also hearts, clouds, a rainbow, and some great sentiments!

I used the cloud stamp to create the background paper...  I simply stamped the clouds on a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock using Inkon3 Fadeout ink... Then I used a blender brush to go over it with Distress ink. The Fadeout ink picks up the Distress Ink, and gives a beautiful, soft, tone-on-tone look! This is a great way to create your own custom patterned paper!

I used some basic stitched rectangles from Kat Scrappiness to give the panels a little extra detailing, and the cloud dies are from LDRS Creative... They just went so well with this image!

I'll be honest, when I'm choosing which Tracey Hey stamps to order, I read the sentiments... sometimes I'll buy for the sentiments... Some a cheeky, some are insightful... they are great! And she is great at mixing fonts to give the sentiments more life!

If you haven't checked out Tracey Hey yet, please do! Her stamps are so darling! They are great for the storybook style I do with no-line coloring, and they look equally fabulous stamped in black!!  I'm excited to be sharing more of her stamps in the future! 😉

PS: Yes, Tracey sent me some free stamp, HOWEVER, the stamps that were given with NO OBLIGATION to use, nor am I obligated to say anything nice about her stamps.. I don't even have any affiliate links for her.  I just really like her stamps, and want to share them with you!  So this is all my honest excitement. 😊

See you soon!
