Happy Tuesday everyone!

I have some very exciting news to share today...

I have just joined another fabulous design team!

I am so very excited for this opportunity!  The stamps are absolutely gorgeous!  You can check them out here.  I, along with my amazingly talented new team mates, will be sharing inspiration, sneak peeks, and announcing new stamp sets. You won't want to miss this!!

On a different, yet related topic,  I received a phone call a few weeks back... It was my sister.  She is an amazingly talented woman, but crafting just isn't her thing.  She is however, a million times better at sending cards than I am.  Anyway, she called to make a suggestion as to what I could give her for both Christmas and her birthday (also in Dec).  She wanted cards. And lots of them. Before I moved, she would often come to my house and go through my basket of finished cards and take what she needed.  Since she can't come raid my basket anymore, she wants her own stock pile. =)

SO...

This is the first of multiple sets I'm making for her. It is a set of 12 "Thinking of you" cards. Since she gave me a long list of all the types of cards she wants, and since she prefers things not to be too overdone, I stuck with very simple.  After coloring the images, it was really fast to put together
assembly line fashion.

Each flower is colored in with various colors of Distress Inks. I love using them to color!!!
The Kraft background was run through my Cuttlebug using Provo Craft "Polka Dots" embossing folder. I then used Colorbox Pigment ink in Frost White to hit the raised areas. (this ink is fabulous for dark papers!!!) I also added some Fairy Dust CI paint to the raised areas for that little bit of sparkle.

Enjoy!
