an elephant never forgets...
or so they say...
Ever wanted to go explore the jungle? I have.... but I just hate mosquitos... hmmmm... guess that would make it hard. Well, guess this is the best I can get for now. =)
Over at the CI blog it is DT challenge again! I wanted to know what fabulous ideas the DT could get from the jungle, and they did a great job! Here is what I came up with...

Paper: Scrapworks chipboard puzzle piece, old book paper
Stamps: Will n' Way, Fancy Pants "In My Words"
Ink: VersaMark, distress
CI paint: Antique Silver, Emerald, Blush
Other: ribbon, embossing powder, dymo, metal clip

Basically, I covered the chipboard shape with a Mod Podge, then an old book paper. When that dried, I tore off the top layer of the book paper with masking tape. Then I covered it with distress ink.

I heat embossed the elephant, then just painted him in with Antique Silver. A little Blush in his ears and on his cheeks gives him a little character.

I made a stamp pad with Emerald CI paint (I totally love this technique!!) to stamp the swirls. I love how easy it is to add shimmer to detailed images using these paints!
I used my Dymo labeler for the words. This gives it a different look than I usually do, but I think it is kinda fun to do different things now and then. =)
I strung a sheer ribbon through the chipboard for easy hanging.
To finish it off, I used a strong adhesive to attach the whole thing to a strong clip. I now can clip up all the things I need to remember. *do you think I would get more done if I had everything written down that I was supposed to do?*
"Don't forget" to check out the CI blog for other projects from the DT! =)
Have a wonderful day!
