stamping shimmer

Hello, and happy Monday!

Today's project was made for Inspiration Monday over at the CI blog.
It is a quick card that can work for so many things! *I think I may make a set or two of different colors and sayings just to have around... or give away... hmmm..*

Paper: cheap white cardstock
Stamps: SEI "Mimosa", Fancy Pants "Pollen Dust"
Ink: VersaMark
CI paint: Garnet
Other: black embossing powder, ribbon

I started out by stamping the flower with Garnet CI paint. (to see step by step instructions for making CI paint pads, click here)
The color and shimmer is amazing! I really love the look of stamping with these paints!

The background was also stamped using the Garnet CI paint. For the black edge around the flower, I simply rubbed the VersaMark pad against the edges of the square. I then dipped into the embossing powder and heated. Very simple, but gives a fun, textured edge to things.

A little ribbon tied around the card gives it that added touch that I love. *can you believe it, I didn't paint my ribbon this time. I know, you are in shock... me too! You can scrape your jaw off the floor at any time... I promise I will be painting ribbons again before long! LOL!*

Quick note... If you have any creations using Creative Inspirations Paint, you can now share your projects with us by linking your project to the CI blog! Simply jump over the the blog, and on the top of the side bar there is a button that says "Add your link". Click there and follow the instructions. Easy peasy!

Ok, I'm off to eat some lunch! Have a fabulous day!

BEAUTIFUL! I just love the shimmer! Neat idea about rubbing the versamark pad along the edges of the paper and then embossing, I never did that before, thanks for the tip!
