OMGOODNESS!
Isn't she STUNNING?!?!? I LOVE this Heatwave girl! And she is so fun to color!
To create the striped border, I used the tiny background stamp from the new Lemonade set, and did some repeat stamping... It's really easy to line this stamp up and build a long border with it! I used a sparkly gel pen to draw lines between each stripe both to add to the pattern, and to cover up any slight misalignments. I then used the Cloud die (from Waves and Clouds) to create a fun edge to my layered pieces.
These new dies from LDRS Creative have not been cut apart. For those of you who might be new to dies like this, don't worry..
All you need is a good pair of wire snippers (Check your local craft store in the beading section, thats where I got mine)
Simply snip off the little bars that are connecting the dies. You can then file down any remaining sharp edges. Then they are ready to use!
On the inside of the card, I added some foiled feathers... I wanted to be able to see them when the card was closed, so I cut off the bottom part of the front panel of my card and replaced it with some acetate... Now the inside and outside are pretty!
Making your own foiled patterns is EASY!
Start by inking up your stamp with some LDRS Creative Watermark ink, and stamp it on your project.
Next, cover it with some heat and stick. The powder will stick to the Watermark ink just like regular embossing powder.
Heat it up just until it turns clear and shiny. Don't over heat!
Quickly press some Silver leafing over the image and allow to cool.
Gently rub off the excess leafing.. I'm using a dry sponge.

In't this New Beginnings girl SO PRETTY?!?
I I love her polka dotted shirt!
The Scalloped Rectangle dies are Perfect for creative layers! You can use all of them together, or just use the ones you want!
Can you see that FABULOUS patterned paper? That's from the new You Are My Sunshine paper pack! I love that this paper pack has a great blend of bold and slightly muted colors in it! It gives it great balance!
These little butterflies are made using the heart dies from the Scalloped Rectangle die set! I love finding new ways to use my supplies! I cut 2 hearts out for each butterfly, and only added glue to their tips. This lets the wings pop up! I then added some tiny rhinestones to create the body. Simple and fun!
