you're a life saver...

Hello my fabulous friends!

Today I find that I am once more in need of a quick 'thank you' card...

It is incredible and humbling, how many people have reached out to help my family in various ways over the past 18 months as my mom battles cancer.

There really aren't words...

But I keep trying to find words in the thank you cards in hopes that they will know how much we appreciate their kindness.

I colored this little guy during the 30 Day Coloring Challenge back in June.. I guess it's about time he got made into a card!

I wanted to keep this really CAS, so I didn't add a bunch of layers, or a fancy background... Instead I just left a bunch of whitespace...literally.

In design, white space is used to give your eye a place to rest, and help your eyes to really focus on what is most important... It keeps things from getting too cluttered..

I think I need some 'white space' in my life... good thing I'm taking a vacation soon!

To finish the card off, I tied some twine around the top... It didn't look quite right, so I added in some gold stars to tie it into the gold on the bear's hat.. That made all the difference! Sometimes its the little things that can make or break a design!

Well, my puppy is demanding play time, so I guess that's my cue to get off the computer!

See you soon!
