rocking the boat...

Hello my fabulous friends!

When I was young, my mother's parents were involved with the Coast Guard, so I grew up spending time each summer on their boat at Lake Powell (in Southern Utah/NorthernArizona). I have so many great memories of my summers at the lake!!!

I still LOVE being on boats... it's so soothing! I sleep better on a boat than anywhere else! And if I can't be on a boat, on the beach near the water is the next best thing!

Do you get sea sick? I hope not, because this boat is rocking in the waves! 

The Surfing Wave die is such a PERFECT match for this boat! I popped the front waves up with foam so they would hide the slide track, and it makes the boat really look like it's sitting in the water instead of in front of the water.

The sentiment on the front is stamp on vellum using LDRS Creative Raven ink. This ink is a hybrid ink that works well on non-porous surfaces as long as you heat set.  

I also added some waves to the inside to carry on the waves from the front.
