a touch of green...
Hello my fabulous friends!
Guess what tomorrow is...
St. Patrick's Day!
Honestly, I don't know that I was ever really into the whole "wear green or get pinched" idea, but as an adult with nieces and nephews, I've found that holidays like this are the perfect time to create little themed treats and fun cards for kiddos you love!
(apparently I enjoy holidays more as an adult with kiddos to spoil... LOL!)
Paper: Neenah Classic Crest Solar White; DCWV Glitzy Glitter
Stamps: Whimsy Peggy; LDRS Creative Thank You
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black; Copic Multiliner
Coloring: Copic
Skin- BV000, E21, E31, E33, RV42, E35
Hair- E53, E39, E29, E49, E08, R08
Cream- E41, W1, W2, 0
Green- YG03, YG17, YG67, G29
Black- 0, C4, C6, C8, C10
Blue- B00, FBG2, BG07, BG49

I couldn't help it, I had to give this little girl red hair, freckles, and a a beautiful green dress... it just seemed to suit her!
I needed a little finishing detail for the upper left corner, but I didn't have anything that looked right... Finally I just masked off the area and inked up just the flower in her hair and stamped that in the corner. It was the perfect finishing touch! Never feel like you always have to use the WHOLE stamp... sometimes just using a bit of the stamp is exactly the right touch!
Are you doing anything fun to celebrate tomorrow?
