hippo hooray birthday...

Hello my fabulous friends!

I have a sweet little niece who is having a birthday!!! 

I thought about what card to make for this special occasion, and I decided to go with the new Hippo Hooray interactive stamp set from LDRS Creative. This dancing hippo just makes me smile!

Paper: Neenah Classic Crest Solar White; LDRS Creative Sweet Sensations

Stamps: LDRS Creative Hippo Hooray

Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, LDRS Creative Raven, Gelly Roll Clear Star

Coloring: Copic

Hippo- T1, T3, T5, T7, RV42, E40

Tuto- RV10, RV11, RV13, RV14, RV17

Ground- W3, W1, W0

Dies:  Eyelet Lace Rectangle

Other: Ranger Perfect Pearls; brad

For the shimmery words, I stamped my sentiment with LDRS Creative Raven ink. This ink is a hybrid, and, if you work quickly, you can dust it with some Perfect Pearls for a shimmery image!

Die cutting and layering patterned paper can have a really fun effect!  I sometimes struggle with this, but I find it helps when pattern paper comes in a pack of coordinating patterns so I don't have to think too hard or spend time second guessing my choices.

Well, I hope my sweet niece has a wonderful birthday! Wish I could be there to bake a cake, but hopefully this card makes her smile!
