a little squeeze...

Good morning all!

I am so excited! The Creative Inspirations DT is back up and running! Man, are their projects great! Check them out here.

The challenge for this week was to use fruit as your inspiration. Here is what I made...
Paper: Bazzill, DCWV, My Minds Eye, white cardstock
Die cuts: Spellbinders "Label Six", Cricut "Preserves"
Stamps: Autumn Leaves "Build-a-Flower" and "Flourishes V2"
Ink: VersaMark, Distress, Designer, Powder Puff, Mark-it
CI paint: Mellow Yellow, Chocolate
Other: ribbon, embossing powder, Glossy Accents (by Ranger), brads

I have a lot of different textures going on in this card... The swirls on the brown parts are gold embossing powder, added just as accents. I covered the seeds in Glossy Accents to mimic the smooth round shine of real lime seeds. I applied VersaMark to the wedge pieces directly from the pad... I then used clear embossing powder. I love how it isn't even and smooth... doesn't it look like a fresh cut lime? The rest of the shimmery areas are CI paint. I love how the different textures make it look more realistic, and all the different kinds of shine make it look fresh and juicy.

The ribbon was painted in Chocolate CI paint... I love how well this ribbon shows off the shine of these paints!
I painted the entire word bubble with Mellow Yellow CI.... Isn't it gorgeous! I love how it covers the letters without hiding them.

(oh, the saying is: "Sending You... A Little Squeeze) LOL!

Don't forget to check out the other DT projects, and leave them love!

I'll be back soon with more crafty stuff!
