elephants and llamas...

Hello my fabulous friends!

Recently the incredibly sweet Colorado Craft Company reached out to me and asked if they could send me some stamps.. Of course I said YES!

A few days later I received the 3 newest Big And Bold stamps... an Elephant, a Llama, and a Giraffe... If you haven't seen these stamps yet, be sure to click the links to check them out!  These guys are BIG and so fun to color!

Paper: Strathmore Bristol Smooth; Georgia Pacific
Stamps: Colorado Craft Company Love You Tons
Ink: Inkon3 Blackout*; Distress Ink Abandoned Coral, Fossilized Amber
Coloring: Zig Clean Color Real Brush
elephant- 098, 903
Dies: Kat Scrappiness Double Stitched Rectangles
Stencils: The Crafter's Workshop Cell Theory
Other: Ranger Perfect Pearls

I decided to keep things really simple with this card... I stamped the elephant in a nice bold black ink (Inkon3 Blackout) on Bristol Smooth paper. I then used my Zigs to do some really quick watercolor.

For the hearts, I masked the trunk, then stamped the hearts with Distress Ink. While the ink was still wet, I dusted it with some Perfect Pearl to add shimmer.

I added just a touch of color to the base of my card using the same Distress Inks I used in the hearts, and a TCW stencil.  Super simple, and no stress!

Paper: Strathmore Bristol Smooth; Cordinations; Georgia Pacific Cardstock; black velum
Stamps: Colorado Craft Company Llama Tell You
Ink: Inkon3 Fadeout*, Blackout*, Marilyn Red*; Dr. Ph. Martin's Bleedproof White
Coloring: Zig Clean Color Real Brush
Llama- 075, 096, 069, 902
Other: Ranger Glossy Accents

I shared my Llama over on Instagram a little while ago... Isn't he COOL?

After doing a little no line coloring with Inkon3's Fadeout ink and my Zigs I decided he needed sunglasses..

This stamp set actually includes the glasses (which I LOVE).. I stamped them, then fussy cut them out (including the lens). I then layered some black velum behind them. I covered the frames in Glossy Accents to give them that plastic feel, then they were added to the card using some foam dots so light could get behind the glasses a bit to give them the translucent look. I love how he turned out!

I haven't had a chance to color up the Giraffe yet, I already have ideas for him!
