love and snuggles for Australia's wildlife...

Hello my fabulous friends!

It's a great feeling when you can do something that helps someone in need.. and today's project is all about that! There are SO many incredible animals over in Australia who need help because of the bushfires...  While the bushfires might be out, the animals still need care and rehabilitation. Crissy Armstrong (one of the the Whimsy Stamps artists) designed an Australian digi stamp set called Love for Australia to help out. The proceeds from this kit are being donated to WIRES- Emergency Fund for Wildlife.

Paper: Strathmore Bristol Smooth
Stamps: Whimsy Stamps Love for Australia (digital), Bunny Delivery
Ink: Inkon3 Blackout ink
Coloring: Zig Clean Color Real Brush
Koala- 049, 901, 902, 069, 060
Tree- 068, 043, 046
Dies: LDRS Creative Majestic Frame, Ribbon Gift Frame
Other: Deco Foil Rose Gold

I wanted to do some no line watercolor with this sweet koala, which means I needed light lines printed on Bristol paper.  To get light lines with a digital image, I change the opacity level to somewhere between 20-25% before printing. this leaves me with lines dark enough to see, but light enough that they disappear into the coloring.

After coloring, I foiled some cardstock, then die cut some fancy corners to layer behind my koala.

The sentiment comes from the Bunny Delivery clear stamp set. I colored a strip of paper to match my leaves, then layered that on a foiled strip to tie everything together.

Don't forget to head over to the Whimsy store and check out Love for Australia!

See you soon!
