chemistry...

Really quick post before I make dinner...

No, I'm not going to talk about chemistry... I'm surprised I made it through all my science classes in High School. LOL!

I'm take in the Creative Chemistry 101 online class that Tim Holtz is teaching right now. Lots of fun! (so much better than HS.. I actually understand what he's talking about. LOL!) Anyway, I wanted to get a project done inspired by today's lesson, so here it is...

Lots of fun playing with Distress inks and their reactions to water.  Did you know that if you tint Gesso with Distress reinker, once it is dry, the color will still react to water?  Yeah, I discovered that by accident while I was working on a DT project a while ago. I was frustrated at first because that wasn't what I had been expecting to happen, but now it is one of my favorite fall back techniques. =)

It pays to just play! You learn lots of fun stuff that way... although my dad says I should write a book called "1001 Things that Don't Work" because I feel like some days all I do is find out what doesn't work. I'd probably be on Vol. 2 or 3 by now. LOL! oh well, no better way to learn, right?

Enjoy!
