I wanted to create a floral crown for my pumpkin patch girl, so I stamped the flowers from Woodland Critters first, masked them, then stamped Molli.
Once the mask is removed, it looks like the floral crown was always part of the stamp design!
I also had a bit of a problem with Molli's dress... This is a summer image with a summer dress, but I wanted her in a fall scene with pumpkins....
A few simple lines with a Copic multiliner, and suddenly she has sleeves and a neckline!
After coloring in her dress, I didn't feel like it had enough of a fall feel to it, so I got out some gold ink and a dip pen to create lots of little sparkling dots...
I love how it turned out!
I even added a few strands of gold to her hair just for fun!
For my pumpkins, I decided to leave all the little inside cuts in the pumpkins... This gives the texture of the design without the holes!
I also wanted my pumpkin to have a vine, so I scattered some of the Maple Leaves Confetti around, and connected them together with a piece of string.
To finish it all off, I added the sentiment, matted on some gold foil paper to match the gold in the dress and hair.
I love how it turned out... the turquoise of the dress gorgeous with the red-orange of the pumpkins... and the little bit of gold.... I love fall colors!
So what would your pumpkin patch look like?
hmmm.... all this talk about pumpkins.... I think the one of the left over pumpkin cupcakes is calling my name....
See you soon!
