Valentines bunny...
Hello my fabulous friends!
Since I don't have kiddos of my own at this point, I get to spoil the nieces and nephews... :)
This year I'm making little Valentine treats for all of them... Most of them are old enough for candies, but the youngest is still too little, so I found some ADORABLE baby headbands... I just need to make a tag to attach to the present!
Paper: Neenah Classic Crest Solar White; Recollections Glitter paper
Stamps: LDRS Creative Hanging Out, Cloud No. 9
Ink: LDRS Creative Raven; Copic Multiliner
Coloring: Copic
Bunny- W00, W1, W3, R00, E04
Purple- V12, V15, V17, V09
Teal- BG11, BG13, BG49
Pink- RV21, RV25, RV29
Yellow- Y17
Dies: LDRS Creative Scalloped Rectangle
Other: LDRS Creative Stamping Mask Paper; ribbon
Step 1: Using tape, mask off everything on the Hanging Out stamp except the bunny and grass.
Step 2: Ink up the bunny and grass with Raven ink. Remove the tape and stamp onto your cardstock.
Step 3: Stamp the bunny onto some LDRS Creative Stamping Mask Paper. Fussy cut inside the lines.
Step 4: Remove the backing paper from the mask and apply over the bunny on your cardstock.
Step 5: Stamp the bunch of heart balloons from Cloud No. 9.
Step 6: Remove the mask.
Step 7: Color! I used Copics, but you can use any alcohol markers, watercolors, or colored pencils you prefer. Raven ink is safe for them all.. just be sure you are using the correct kind of paper for the medium you want to color with.
Step 8: Figuring out the sentiment... If you want to see how you will like a sentiment or if it will fit, stamp it onto some clear acetate. This lets you play with placement without commitment!
This sentiment doesn't quite fit.. so I'm going to modify it...
Step 9: Using tape, mask off the dangling hearts under the "r" in the "You have my little heart on a string" sentiment, ink up the sentiment, remove tape, and stamp.
Step 10: If you want to mat your cardstock, do so now... I added some glitter cardstock for some sparkly color!
Step 11: Using the smallest heart from the Scalloped Rectangle die set, die cut a heart in the upper left corner.
Step 12: Now is the time to write your message on the back of the tag if you want...
Now we are ready to attach our tag...
Step 13: Wrap the ribbon around your gift and tie a half knot... Then thread both ends of the ribbon through the heart.
Step 14: Tie your bow as usual. As long as your ribbon is large enough, the bow will keep the tag attached to the present even though it isn't actually tied on.
And it's ready to be sent off to a sweet little one!
Are you doing any cute gifts for anyone this Valentines?
See you soon!
