wish on a shooting star....

Hello my fabulous friends!

Sometimes you just have to go bold and bright... even if it isn't your normal style... I've got a kiddo birthday coming up, and I wanted to make something special!

Cue a shooting star card where the star actually "shoots" over the bear!

Paper: Neenah Classic Crest Solar White
Stamps: LLLC Love Notes, Absolutely Perfect
Ink: Distress Ink Abandoned Coral, Blueprint Sketch, Salty Ocean, Peacock Feather; Gelly Roll Clear Star
Coloring: Copic
Panda- W00, W1, W3, R00
Blue- B00, FBG2, BG07, BG78, B99
Coral-YR000, R12, R02, R05
Yellow- Y13, Y18, YR24
Dies: LLLC Stitched Nested Circles, Absolutely Perfect, Shooting Stars, Small Stars
Other: Ranger Stickles

Definitely going with bold colors... Blue, Coral, and Yellow.. Perfect for a little boy! I wanted this panda to be laying on top of the sentiment... but I didn't want his paws to cover too much of the letters (I want the kiddo to be able to read it, after all...), so he is kind of tucked in and around the top of the word. He may not be laying perfectly flat on top of the word, but it works, and he looks ADORABLE!

To create the shooting star, I used two of the Stitched Nested Circle dies to create the track. It ends up being a fairly wide track since LLLC's nesting shapes have fairly large margins, but it still works great! In fact, it makes it easy to create sliders that don't catch!

See how easily it slides? Just tilting the card gets it moving!  So much fun for kiddos (and adults) to play with!

Do you like making interactive cards? Let me know what kinds you like to make and/or see!

See you soon!
