beautiful day elephant...
Hello my fabulous friends!
Today I've got another no-line coloring card that I colored for The Daily Marker 30 Day coloring challenge! I used InkOn3's Fadeout ink with Zig Clean color Real Brush markers to create an image that looks like it belongs in an old fashion storybook!
Paper: Strathmore Bristol Smooth
Stamps: Whimsy Spring Time Elephant (retired); InkOn3 Pansies
Ink: InkOn3 Fadeout; Copic Multiliner; Memento Espresso Truffle; Hero Arts Unicorn; Distress Ink Victorian Velvet
Coloring: Zig Clean Color Real Brush
Elephant- 091, 094, 095, 064, 028, 230
Green- 043, 046
Flowers- 071, 066, 061, 051
Prismacolor Pencil- White
Other: Ranger Perfect Pearls; Tim Holtz Flourish stencil
I had so much fun coloring this darling elephant! Unfortunately he is no longer available at Whimsy Stamps (sorry! I didn't realize that until after this card was made)... they do, however, have some other adorable elephant stamps available (and lots of other things too)!
I really need to update my Whimsy stash!!!
*adds to 'to-do' list, then hears wallet sobbing "we can't afford your habit"... LOL!*
I stamped my sentiment in a Espresso Truffle ink, but it felt too dark for the soft image.. so I stamped the sentiment again in Unicorn ink. This helped to soften the dark ink a bit, so it fit the image better.
I love this stitched line die! It's so fun! It gives that detail without actually cutting an edge. Perfect for adding a little something extra without taking over!
For the card base, I used a stencil and Distress Ink to create a custom patterned paper. I then brushed on some Perfect Pearls while the ink was still wet. The mica powders sticks to the ink, giving it a beautiful sparkle!
