too much cake shaker...

Hello my fabulous friends!

Birthday cards are one of those things that I just seem to always need, but rarely have a good stockpile of...  I absolutely LOVE this birthday wish from the new Happy Everything stamp set... "Eat too much cake day" is so much funner than "birthday"!!!

Paper: Neenah Classic Crest Solar White; LDRS Creative Sweet Sensations, Homemade Happiness; acetate

Coloring: Copic

White- E41

Yellow- Y19, Y35, Y32

Blue- BG49, BG45, B00

Pink- RV29, RV25, RV23

Brown- E29, E27, E25

Dies: LDRS Creative Practically Oval Frame

Other: LDRS Creative Stamping Mask Paper; shaker filling

I used the various frame dies to create my shaker element for this card. I love how these frames nest well inside each other, yet are all different... It gives it a lot more variety and character than traditional nested dies. 

I stamped and cut out the banner, and found that it fits perfectly going across the top of the largest oval frame!  I don't know if it was intentionally designed that way or not, but I absolutely love it!

I filled my shaker with various shaped sequins and glass micro beads. You can buy shaker mixes that are pre-made, but I usually just mix my own from what I have. 

 I also made sure to use 2 layers of foam tape to build the walls of my shaker. I find that with only a single layer, sometimes the fillers get jammed and don't move freely. The double layer seems to fix that problem for most of my usual fillers.

 I'm gonna be honest... when I sent this card out, I was very entertained by the fact that when you shook the package, all you could hear was the card! LOL!
