Honey Bee Hop- Day 2

Time for the next hop here at Paper Primper Altered Art. We are so glad you joined us! Our design team is going to show you some Christmas projects, all sponsored by Paper Primper Altered Art. Hi everyone!

I know I'm not scheduled for the hop today, but I want to show support for my team by posting anyway!

Today I have a quick tutorial to share... I used this technique in my project that you will see on the 4th, so I guess you could call this a sneak peek. =)

Start out by clipping the desired white silk flowers off of their stems.

(these are just those fake flowers you can find at craftstores or Walmart.)

Next, colorize your flower to match your project. There are many different inks and paints you can use, but I'm using All Purpose Ink by Tsukineko because when heat set it is permanent on fabrics.

You can either let your flower dry naturally, or you can carefully dry it with your heat gun. (I say carefully because the plastic parts will melt easily.)
