And now what you came for....
Paper: Neenah Classic Crest Solar White; LDRS Creative Sincerely Yours; vellum
Stamps: LDRS Creative Cloud No. 9
Coloring: Copics
R39, R56, RV34
Dies: LDRS Creative Eyelet Lace Rectangle
Other: Ranger Glossy Accents, Perfect Pearls; ribbon, rhinestones, twine, key charm
Since the card design itself was rather simple, I had fun adding in lots of little details like the gold on the lettering, or the Glossy Accents on the hearts...
I found a little key charm in my collection of beads... I thought it fit well!
Using a variety of textures can add a lot of visual interest to your project... And using a sewing machine is an easy way to attach vellum to your project without the adhesive being seen!
Let's take a look at how to make this card...
Start by die cutting the Eyelet Lace Rectangle from white cardstock. Stamp the string of hearts across the top using Raven ink.
Die cut the tag from the Eyelet Lace Rectangle die set from white cardstock.
Stamp the sentiment in Raven ink.
Because I want to stamp the same image more than once in the same place, I'm using the Stamping Platform, but any stamp positioning tool would work.
Leaving the tag in the Stamp Platform, color in the word "heart" and the dangling hearts.
Stamp the sentiment again in the same place, this time using Watermark ink.
While the ink is still wet, cover with Perfect Pearls. Dust off the extra.
I know I've showed you how to use the hybrid ink to adhere Perfect Pearls to a stamped image... However, if you want to color your image, you have to do it this way so you don't smear the line or risk ruining your markers.
Cut some vellum to 1 3/4 x 2 3/4. This will become your pocket for your tag.
Use a sewing machine to sew the vellum on. Tie a bow around it.
Finish by gluing the panel to a card base.

Isn't she SWEET?!?
And she is so much fun to color!
I die cut a couple of the tiny birds from the Garden Escape die set from foil cardstock... Because the birds are so small, they work perfectly with stamps like this one!
Again, I used Glossy Accents on the hearts to give them a little dimension and shine...
To create the top and bottom edges of my card panel, I used the Garden Escapes dies. I wanted the panel to be longer than the die, so I tucked the edge I was cutting under the die, and let the other edge be on top of the die... that way, when you run it through your machine, it only cuts one edge. You can then flip it around cut the other side the same way. This allows you to customize your dies somewhat!
